About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated Agency Coordinator to support the growth, coordination, and operational efficiency of the agency distribution channel in Fiji. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth processing of agency submissions, consistent turnaround times, and an organized operational interface for agency partners.
Working closely with the Marketing & Business Development Manager, the Agency Coordinator will manage agency administration, support onboarding and activation activities, coordinate workshops and promotional events, and help improve conversion rates by ensuring timely and accurate execution of agency-related processes.
Key responsibilities:
Agency Administration & Processing
- Coordinate and process agency quotes, new business, renewals, endorsements, and policy adjustments.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Monitor pipeline and follow up on outstanding items to improve conversion rates.
Agency Partner Support & Coordination
- Serve as the central operational contact point for agency partners.
- Respond to queries and facilitate communication between agencies and internal teams.
- Track and support agency performance metrics and renewal schedules.
Agency Activation & Growth Support
- Support onboarding, activation, and capability‑building workshops for agency partners.
- Assist with agency workshops, roadshows, and promotional events.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and campaign rollouts.
Operational Efficiency & Reporting
- Monitor turnaround times and processing volumes for agency business.
- Maintain accurate records and generate periodic reports.
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure submissions comply with underwriting and regulatory requirements.
- Support audit and internal control processes.
About You
- Strong coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills to work effectively with agency partners and internal teams.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to maintain reliable processing standards.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Customer‑focused mindset with a practical approach to problem‑solving and service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- 2-4 years’ experience in insurance operations, underwriting support, policy administration, or distribution support.
- Understanding of general insurance products and end‑to‑end policy lifecycle processes.
- Experience working with agency or broker channels is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and insurance policy administration systems.
