About the Role

Capital Insurance Group Limited (CIG), is a wholly PNG-owned company providing life and general insurance products to individuals and the corporate market. CIG continues to expand hence we are looking for a suitable candidate to join our team in the Kokopo office. The potential candidate will be reporting to the Mobile Sales Manager and will be working closely with the Claims and Underwriting Officers to deliver organizational objectives and to maintain optimal team efficiency.

This position is primarily responsible assisting with direct sales and underwriting to enhance growth and retention. This includes but is not limited to:

• Facilitating customers’ claims from start to finish and provide update to branch team leader on how claims are tracking
•  Ensuring that customers are kept updated on progress of their claims
•  Maintaining a high level of claims service through communication and resolving issues/queries on time.
•  Assisting with Sales and Underwriting with Risk surveys on existing and new commercial properties
• Prepare new business quotations on general products offered by Capital’s General Insurance Claims

The ideal candidate must:

• Have completed Grade 12 or tertiary institution
•  Be a ANZIIF Associate or under the study program
•  Be able to learn new procedures quickly and adapt to the change
•  Have proven effective written and verbal communication skills
•  Have strong computer and analytical skills
•  Be customer oriented and punctual with good attitude to work
•  Have previous claims experience within Insurance industry (preferable but not necessary).

A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
