About the Role

Capital Insurance Group Limited (CIG), is a wholly PNG-owned company providing life and general insurance products to individuals and the corporate market. CIG continues to expand hence we are looking for a suitable candidate to join our team in the Port Moresby office. The potential candidate will be reporting to the Team Leader for General Insurance Claims and will be working closely with the Claims and Underwriting Officers to deliver organizational objectives and to maintain optimal team efficiency.

This position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day execution of underwriting administrative duties. This includes but is not limited to:

• Providing exceptional claims service delivery.
• Contribute positively to distributor and external stakeholder relationships.
• Contribute ideas for the continual improvements in Capital’s medical & life insurance claims systems and processes.
• Communicating regularly with the underwriting team on underwriting queries

The ideal candidate must:

•  Have completed Grade 12 or tertiary institution
•  Be a ANZIIF Associate or under the study program
•  Be able to learn new procedures quickly and adapt to the change
•  Have proven effective written and verbal communication skills
•  Have strong computer and analytical skills
• Be customer oriented and punctual with a good attitude to work
•  Have previous claims experience within Insurance industry (preferable but not necessary).

A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
