About the Role
Capital Insurance Group Limited (CIG), is a wholly PNG-owned company providing life and general insurance products to individuals and the corporate market. CIG continues to expand hence we are looking for a suitable candidate to join our team in the Port Moresby office. The potential candidate will be reporting to the Finance Manager and will be working closely with the Underwriting team to deliver organizational objectives and to maintain optimal team efficiency.
The purpose of this role is to provide strong controls over the accounts receivable function of the business and ensure that all debts are settled on a timely basis.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Receipting, allocation, and reconciliation of payments to relevant accounts
- Producing monthly Debtor Reports
- Month end procedures and ledger management
- Liaise with Customer Service & Underwriting teams on outstanding items & queries
- Perform other ad-hoc duties consistent with skills and experience
- Adhere to internal policy, system processes and external requirements
The ideal candidate must:
- Relevant bachelor and/or Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business management.
- At least 1-3 years of working experience gained from financial institution
- Be able to learn new procedures quickly and adapt to the change
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to confidently build working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Have strong computer and analytical skills
- Be customer oriented and punctual with good attitude to work
