Jonathan Owens is the Head of IT and Digital at Capital Insurance Group Limited. His passion for technology began unexpectedly when he discovered the field while exploring career options in a school leaver booklet.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce – Commercial Computing from the Papua New Guinea University of Technology and is an APNIC Fellow.
With over 15 years of experience, Jonathan has held diverse roles across non – government organizations, retail, hospitality, consultancy, fast-moving consumer goods, and mining & exploration. He is passionate about Information Technology and Cybersecurity and how Technology can play a pivotal role in having a positive impact on businesses, communities and people.
