Another success for CIG for 2020 was the launch and first year of its inaugural ‘Tavur Leadership Program’. The program is expected to take 3 years per batch and aligns with the company’s vision to build local capacity that will hopefully run the company in the future.
The company selected seven (7) promising employees that participated in an array of trainings and program in 2020. To name a few; they ran mini–Toastmasters projects to improve in public speaking, leadership, and self-confidence. The team also attended a real training scenario for Dining Etiquette over lunch at the Asia Pacific Technical College (APTC) in Port Moresby and attended emotional Intelligence trainings.
Recently the Tavur participants were tasked with a major project where they were each assigned to learn one aspect or function of the business; Corporate Services, Capital General and Capital Life and present their finding to the group.
The Tavur program will undoubtedly continue this year and into the future, as Capital continues to invest in its future leaders.
