The Fiji Performing Rights Association Music Awards (FPRA) is a national event that resonate across the Islands of Fiji and attracts a lot of following and interest from various stakeholders including the Fijian government and other civil society groups.
The FPRA is a non-profit organisation that administers the copyright rights of the local composers with the following of over 800 local composers and affiliated to over 100 societies world-wide. It is an inclusive platform for all types of music in all genres and all ethnic groups. This is one of the reasons that the brand has been successful and running for 6 years in a row.
Capital Insurance Group has thrown its support for this year by sponsoring “the Best Hindi Song Category”, one of the 15 awards.
“We know that music is part of the Fijian way of life – they love their music – so if we can support such program that has wider inclusion, not only will we support the aspiring musicians but help FPRA promote music as medium of positive change within the community” , said Group Marketing & Communication Manager, Dennis Sapak.
The Capital Insurance group have presented FJ 5,000 towards this event.
