The Chairman of Capital Insurance Group, Mr. Michael O Koisen OBE, announced the appointment of Mr. Jeremy Norton to the role of Acting Group Chief Executive Officer for the Capital Insurance Group of companies effective 20 July 2021.

This follows the resignation of Mr. David Lee as the Group CEO. Mr Koisen in his announcement said, “Mr. Lee has provided strong leadership during his tenure, and we acknowledge his positive contribution to CIG and its subsidiaries, however the Board has accepted his resignation due to the pandemic restrictions and his inability to travel back from New Zealand. We have appointed Jeremy Norton to lead in the capacity of Acting Group CEO”

Norton previously held the position of Group COO. He has strong technical, commercial and leadership background with more than 20 years insurance industry knowledge across a broad range of disciplines in both life and general insurance including the position of Regional General Manager for Tower Insurance Pacific and has held other senior executive roles in the insurance industry.

We are confident that Mr. Norton will continue to lead the team and work closely with the Board, its shareholders, and customers to deliver value to the hundreds of thousands of Papua New Guinean shareholder members that CIG represents.
