Accessing insurance can sometimes be difficult; especially in local villages in the pacific. Capital insurance Group has taken a slightly different approach by conducting surveys to identify the barriers and how we can support the growth of the industry with tailor products that fit specific segments of the community.
The Capital Team in Vanuatu started this by having its first meeting with some important women network on Saturday 14th April. The women started a new interim committee and we will work towards launching the new women’s association called “LeiVanua nVate”, meaning Women from the island of Efate.
The Association will help set-up village community group through the association representatives to collect statistics for the survey.
“As of the 18th of April 2019, our team in Vanuatu have covered 7 villages where we provided awareness on medical insurance and secured community reps from those villages. We have 3 islands and 25 villages yet cover to do the survey. The women are happy that we are reaching out to the communities”, stated Thelma Tapasei the Country Manager. Our team also provided provided awareness with the community clinics.
At Capital Group – we believe that everyone has the right to access insurance. We are delighted to work with the new women association and support the growth of the insurance industry.
