Going beyond professional duties to making a lasting impact in our generation is a mantra that Shane Ailu, Capital’s Financial Planning and Analysis Manager upholds. Mr. Ailu recently participated in the Pacific Australian Emerging Leaders Summit (PAELS) held in Sydney and Canberra.
This year, the summit brought together over 90 young emerging leaders who share a common goal of addressing issues such as Climate Change and Disasters, Youth Empowerment, and Health in the Pacific region. The key messages conveyed to the young people in the Pacific region are to engage actively in civil society and contribute to finding solutions. As upcoming leaders, “we must recognise the impact of political decisions on our lives and the future we aspire to have, understand that our vision for the future is shaped by the actions we choose to take or not take, therefore, it is crucial to act with integrity and thoughtfulness”, Shane shared. Shane has benefited greatly from these sessions and networking opportunities. As a key member of Capital’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, Shane looks forward to sharing his insights and experiences across our five markets. Capital supports making meaningful impacts in the communities and is doing this through its CSR program in Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga, and Papua New Guinea.
