Our valued Clients and Stakeholders,
As your leading insurer, we have been closely monitoring the situation of COVID19. Capital Insurance Group is taking the necessary measures to mitigate the risk and spread of this illness.
The health and well-being of our staff, partners and customers remains top of mind and our highest priority, and we will continue to act thoughtfully despite the disruption and uncertainty COVID19 brings to our daily lives.
We will continue to support relevant government actions and work to contain the virus. Although the PNG Government initiated a partial shutdown as of tomorrow, Tuesday 24 March 2020 – We’ve already taken a series of steps in response to this emerging pandemic.
- Communicated, supported and provided the necessary resources to all our staff on precautionary measures on high standard of personal health and office sanitation.
- Implemented our Business Continuity Plan (BCP). We will have limited staff on a rotational roster for the next two weeks until further notice. If there is a total shutdown, all our staff will be asked to stay home with only selected staff to be operating from our external site.
- In addition, we are restricting all external guests from attending to our office, until further notice
- Put in a temporary suspension of any sponsored or related events and direct client meetings. We will communicate with our stakeholders through relevant technology-based platforms for meetings if necessary.
We want to reassure you all that we are committed to maintain high-quality service and ensure minimal disruption and we remain accessible via email and phone. We have set-up these numbers for any queries.
If you have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to email or call your regular CIG contact.
Warm regards,
David Lee
Acting Group Chief Executive Officer
