The Legends program is designed to recognize outstanding performers across our business every 2 months nominated by fellow colleagues. This included the Maoro Award – Team member who have portrayed good citizenship by demonstrating dependability, leadership, attendance, and punctuality to work, show care and assisted colleagues with getting things done, Tu Meke Award – Team member who has made a difference or had an impact in the way we work and collaborate with our colleagues, clients and brokers through continuous improvements and Bula Award which is awarded for outstanding work performance from a team member.

The winners were awarded a certificate by our Group CEO and the winners throw a set of dart to win prizes.  These are some of the winners and their nominees.

Judith Bavila – Bula Awardee

“For a heavily pregnant person, she comes to work and performs her duties each day with satisfying outcomes. Being praised by brokers on handling claims. Brokers have been asking for her to handle their claims. You go girl and this all while she is growing a human. You are amazing.” – Nominated by Fiona Wia & Alisha Esterhuizen

Sheila Morove – Tu Meke Awardee  

“Introducing a new calc. sheet to calculate multiple policies on one sheet for our SME scheme and saving UW the hassle of going back and forth from each spreadsheet or sheet tabs” – Nominated by Kone Hera

Ralph Jethro – Maoro Awardee

“Ralph was heading home when he chanced upon a fellow colleague from the office dealing with a vehicle breakdown (flat tyre). He jumped in without hesitation and provided support to the employee by assisting him to repair the problem with the colleagues vehicle and getting him on his way. On an another occasion, Ralph provided vehicle recovery equipment from his personal vehicle to assist another fellow employee who had suffered another vehicle breakdown (flat battery)…we know him as “Wreck It Ralph”….but in heaven he is actually known as “Fix It Ralph”….our good citizen.” – Nominated by Chris  Taukuro
